A photographer has gained a prestigious award for his drone picture capturing the proper second of timber casting a shadow into early-morning mist.

Christopher Harrison, from close to Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, scooped first prize within the nature class on the world’s main worldwide drone pictures competitors, the Siena Awards in Italy, on 27 September.

“I’ve got a couple of exhibitions coming up later in the year locally in Henley, so I look forward to that and just see what the next six months to a year brings.”
