BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference introduced Monday the winners of this week’s Swimmer of the Week awards. The weekly awards are introduced by The Health Plan.
Wheeling’s Felix Norlin is the MEC Men’s Swimmer of the Week, and Frostburg State’s Jenna Handwerger is the MEC Women’s Swimmer of the Week.
Norlin, a freshman from Sweden, helped lead the Cardinals to a sweep of Frostburg State and West Virginia Wesleyan. He picked up the 200-meter quick course freestyle and 100-meter quick course freestyle titles.
Handwerger, a freshman from Eldersburg, Maryland, recorded 4 wins in a sweep of Wheeling and West Virginia Wesleyan.
