Governor Matt Meyer Joins Governors Public Health Alliance to Safeguard Communities

WILMINGTON — Today, Governor Matt Meyer joined 14 different Governors in saying the launch of the Governors Public Health Alliance, a brand new coalition of states and territories designed to guard the well being of individuals throughout the United States.

By working together, governors can share data, resources, and lessons learned to strengthen our preparedness for the next public health challenge. Delaware is proud to join this effort to make our state—and our nation—safer and healthier.”

The Governors Public Health Alliance will function a unified, cross-state liaison with the worldwide well being group and a nonpartisan coordinating hub for governors and their public well being leaders. The Governors Public Health Alliance will help Governors and their states in coordinating and collaborating to guard the general public’s well being by facilitating information sharing and communication about well being menace detection, emergency preparedness and response, public well being steerage and coverage, and deployment of consultants.

The Governors Public Health Alliance helps nationwide coordination on public well being on the gubernatorial degree – complementing present mechanisms and interfacing with entities just like the Northeast Public Health Collaborative and West Coast Health Alliance.
