This month’s Photobook Club is hosted by Martha Naranjo Sandoval, a visible artist, photographer, cataloger, and the founder and director of the editorial mission Matarile Ediciones.

 

About Martha Naranjo Sandoval

Martha Naranjo Sandoval is a Brooklyn-based visible artist, photographer, writer, and cataloger from Mexico City. Her work focuses on the household album as means of making neighborhood round images.

In 2023 she offered the solo exhibition The Stench of Orange Blossoms at Miriam Gallery, and in 2024, Flowering Wound at Baxter Street Camera Club of New York as a part of their Artist-In-Residency program. Her monograph Small Death, printed by MACK this 12 months, was shortlisted for the 2025 Paris Photo-Aperture PhotoEbook First PhotoEbook Award. She is the founder and director of the editorial mission Matarile Ediciones, which publishes work by artists who’re immigrants or a part of a current diaspora. She additionally works at Dashwood Books, manages the ICP library, and teaches zine and photobook lessons in a number of establishments.

About ICP Library

ICP’s studying library comprises over 20,000 books and periodicals. The studying room is presently open to the general public throughout ICP’s month-to-month Photobook Club, to researchers by appointment, and to members throughout Library Member Hours.
