Florence prepares for twenty first Pecan Festival; meals, enjoyable for 50,000 guests

FLORENCE, S.C. (WPDE) — The City of Florence is gearing up for the twenty first 12 months of its largest competition, with banners and indicators going up throughout town.

The South Carolina Pecan Music and Food Festival takes place on Nov. 1 throughout downtown Florence.

It strives to stimulate the native financial system, entertain and contain the group and guests in a fun-filled ambiance.

City leaders mentioned through the years, the competition has grown by leaps and bounds, attracting as many as 50,000 folks throughout the Southeast.

In 2011, the Pecan Festival was designated because the Official South Carolina State Pecan Festival by Act No. 9 of 2011.

Officials mentioned since then, the competition has acquired a number of awards, together with Best of the Pee Dee Awards for Excellence because the Best Community Festival in each 2014, 2019 and 2022.

In 2017, Travel + Leisure Online named the Pecan Festival because the “Best Fall Festival in South Carolina.”
