LIHUE, Hawai’i – The San Diego State women’s golf team finished the first round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Monday. After one round, Ema Narita is tied for first place after shooting a career-low five-under-par 67. As a team, the Aztecs are in ninth place.

Narita started on the back nine and was an even par through the first eight holes. She then birdied five of the last 10 holes, including four in a seven-hole stretch. Her 67 is tied for the ninth best 18-hole score by an Aztec and the best since Stephanie Barbaglia shot a 67 in the first tournament of the 2024-25 season.

Kylie Phi also found success on the front nine after starting on the back nine. She had four birdies across her final six holes and finished with a two-over-par 74.

Kylie Warner and Stephanie Barbaglia each shot a three-over-par 75. Warner, who was making her SDSU debut, had five birdies to offset two double-bogeys and four bogeys. Barbaglia had 13 pars, one birdie and four bogeys.

Emma Delwes was outside of the scoring by one stroke, finishing with a four-over-par 76.

Baylor holds the lead with a nine-under-par 279 through one round.
