Ladies’s Swimming Wins Two, Drops One in Skyline Quad Meet

KINGS POINT, N.Y. — The ladies’s swim crew traveled to Kings Point, N.Y. on Friday for a Skyline Conference Quad Meet towards the United States Merchant Marine Academy, SUNY Maritime and St. Joseph’s College Long Island. The Knights took residence two wins towards SUNY Maritime (150-54) and SJLI (126-107), and a loss to USMMA (181-66).

The night time began with a second-place swim for the Knights’ 200-yard medley relay crew of Stefanie Sommer, Ruvarashe Gondo, Cayla Nicholas and Antonia Licardi. Licardi’s freestyle leg gave the crew a late surge, touching out a Merchant Marine swimmer for a time of two:06.64.

Sommer completed second within the 200-yard backstroke (2:38.22) and the 1,000-yard freestyle, coming in at 13:23.60.
