WBB: First Place Cowgirls Journey To Texas A&M-CC Thursday

LAKE CHARLES—League main McNeese girls’s basketball (12-4, 6-1 SLC) will journey to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2-12, 1-6 SLC) within the first of three straight street video games.  McNeese will likely be on the street for many of the remainder of January when they’ll play 5 of its subsequent six video games on the street.

McNeese (12-4, 6-1 SLC) is using a five-game successful streak following its 77-55 dwelling win over Southeastern final Saturday.

Freshman Dakota Howard, who recorded her first profession double double (23 pts., 10 reb.) in opposition to Southeastern is one among two Cowgirls averaging in double figures.  Howard leads the workforce in scoring (12.8 ppg.), steals (43), and is tied for a workforce excessive with 86 complete rebounds.  Howard is second on the workforce with 5.4 rpg. and 17.0 ppg. in convention video games.

Graduate Arianna Patton leads the workforce with 36 three-pointers made and is second on the workforce in scoring (10.0 ppg.). 

Senior Lexi Alexander leads the Cowgirls with 5.7 rpg. and Jalencia Pierre has a workforce excessive 56 assists.

McNeese will journey to UTRGV on Saturday, Jan. 17 for a 2 p.m. sport.
