The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse males’s swimming & diving group earned a 231-68 twin victory over UW-Oshkosh Saturday in Albee Hall & Pool.

The Eagles enhance to 2-1 total and 1-1 within the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).

UWL gained 16 occasions on Saturday, together with each relays as Nathan Gehm, Jacob Ketterling, Caleb Jondle and Jesse Hammes captured the 200 medley relay (1:38.25) and Preston Nygaard, Ketterling, Hammes and Tyler Hartmann the 200 freestyle relay (1:26.78).

Individually, Aanav Patel swept the diving competitors, successful the one (235.85 factors) and three-meter (223.55) titles. Ethan Pedersen was second (209.45) within the three-meter.

Nygaard, Hartmann and Owen Acker every gained two occasions on Saturday. Nygaard took the 100 breaststroke (57.46) and 500 freestyle (4:58.83) whereas Hartmann captured the 100 freestyle (47.89) and 200 I.M. (2:00.68). Acker took the 200 backstroke (2:02.23) and 1,000 freestyle (10:28.48).

Gavin LaBeau gained the 200 freestyle (1:50.07), Jondle the 200 butterfly (2:01.65), Hammes the 50 freestyle (21.86), Gabe DeWald the 200 breaststroke (2:18.76) and Sean Gillett the 100 butterfly (54.18). LaBeau was additionally third (56.25) within the 100 butterfly whereas Jondle was second within the 200 breaststroke (2:21.26) and 200 I.M. (2:04.06). DeWald completed third (1:03.13) within the 100 breaststroke and Gillett second (57.78) within the 100 backstroke.  

Ketterling had two second-place finishes, together with the 50 freestyle (22.30) and 200 backstroke (2:02.43). Davin Evans was second (10:43.31) within the 1,000 freestyle and third (5:18.54) within the 50 freestyle.

The Eagles’ Luca Nociti positioned second (49.31) within the 100 freestyle and third (22.39) within the 50 freestyle whereas Isaac Mozena completed second within the 100 (54.34) and 200 (2:05.83) butterfly. Coby Zander completed third within the 200 freestyle (1:51.82) and 200 backstroke (2:04.68).

Alex McQuestion was third (51.19) within the 100 freestyle, Nolan Sannito third (10:54.33) within the 1,000 freestyle and Rylan Close third (2:16.12) within the 200 butterfly.

UWL returns to motion Friday, January 23 on the UW-Stevens Point Invitational at 10 a.m.
