Strong Earns Spot On McClain Award Top 10 Candidate List
UConn sophomore ahead Sarah Strong was named a top-10 candidate for the 2026 Katrina McClain Award, introduced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. The award acknowledges the highest energy forwards in girls’s NCAA DI faculty basketball. Strong leads UConn in factors, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals this season and is at the moment averaging a .601/.394/.909 capturing break up.
 
Williams Named Leslie Award Top 10 Candidate
Husky senior Serah Williams was named a top-10 candidate for the 2026 Lisa Leslie Award, as introduced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and WBCA. BIG EAST to Provide Public Availability Reports for Men’s and Women’s Basketball

Beginning within the 2025-26 season, the BIG EAST Conference will present public reviews on the provision of student-athletes in convention video games for males’s and girls’s basketball. BIG EAST colleges might be required to submit these reviews three hours earlier than the scheduled tipoff.
