Rylee Jackson, Andrew Gerstenmaier are Akron-area HS Athletes of Week

Athletes from Archbishop Hoban and Walsh Jesuit excessive colleges gained the voting for the Akron-Area High School Athlete of the Week for Feb. 23-March 1.

Rylee Jackson is the women winner and Andrew Gerstenmaier wins for the boys. Jackson, who’s a swimmer for Hoban, obtained 56.67% of the votes forged. Gerstenmaier, a swimmer for Walsh, obtained 68.79% of the votes forged.

A complete 13,353 votes have been forged general. Look for extra on every athlete beneath.

Rylee Jackson, Archbishop Hoban swimming

Finished eighth within the women 50 freestyle (24.04) and ninth within the 100 freestyle (52.51) on the Division I state swimming championships.

Andrew Gerstenmaier, Walsh Jesuit swimming

Swam a career-best time of 48.99 seconds to put third within the 100 backstroke on the Division I state swimming championships.
