Jon Palomar – Males’s Swimming & Diving Coach

Jon Palomar joined the Gators in September of 2017 because the assistant athletic coach for swimming & diving.

He is answerable for the general healthcare of student-athletes, together with prevention, analysis, therapy, and rehabilitation of accidents and diseases.

Prior to coming to Gainesville, Palomar spent 1 yr at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri as an assistant athletic coach the place he labored with the males’s soccer, wrestling, baseball, and swim and dive groups.

He obtained his Bachelors of Science diploma in athletic coaching at Aurora University. From 2014-2016 he earned his Masters of Arts with a focus in athletic coaching on the University of Alabama the place he was a graduate assistant athletic coach with the swim and dive staff.

Palomar is a licensed athletic coach by means of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification. He can also be licensed CPR/AED Instructor by means of American Heart Association.

Palomar at present resides in Gainesville, the place he lives along with his spouse, Alexandra, as they await the arrival of their child woman. He enjoys watching sports activities, being energetic and cooking. He additionally likes to be outdoors with household and pals.
