Chan, Minai Publish Top-5 Finishes On Day One among NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The No. 14 Washington had two top-five finishes on Wednesday within the first day of the NCAA Championships. The Bears have 32 factors and sit in 9^th place.
 
Top Finishers

• 500 Freestyle
  • First-year Parker Chan claimed second place with a time of 4:23.33, incomes his first-career All-America honor
    
    

• 200 IM
  • Junior Marco Minai completed fourth, swimming a time of 1:46.18, setting a brand new program document
    • Originally set a brand new program document within the prelims (1:46.33)
      
      

• 50 Freestyle
  • First-year Jackson Heether completed 32^nd within the prelims with a time of 20.38
    
    

• 400 Medley Relay
  • Chan, grad scholar Mikey Thurk, Minai and Heether completed 21^st within the prelims with a time of three:20.30

 
The Bears proceed to competitors tomorrow with the 200 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 400 IM and 200 freestyle relay.
