Track and Field units sights on Electric City Invite

LEXINGTON, Va. – After per week away from competitors, the VMI observe and area groups are refreshed to compete this weekend on the Electric City Invitational hosted by Anderson University Friday and Saturday in Anderson, South Carolina.

 

The meet marks the second 12 months in a row the Keydets head to Anderson to compete on the occasion because the Keydets look to trip the momentum from their robust efficiency two weeks in the past on the Big South/SoCon Challenge.

 

 

Two weeks in the past in Asheville, Cameron Thomas broke his personal faculty file within the pole vault with a first-place peak of 5.11 meters (16′ 9.25″), topping his previous best of 16′ 8.75″ set in 2025.

 

Freshman Deonte Harris got here in second within the triple bounce with a distance of 14.55 meters, and Zachary Denton carried out properly within the lengthy bounce with a third-place mark of seven.00 meters.
