USA Artistic Swimming Names 2026–2028 Olympic Training Squad, Taking First Step Towards LA28

USA Artistic Swimming has taken its first step towards the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028, naming its 2026–2028 Olympic Training Squad and establishing itself as “LA’s Team.” By narrowing its athlete pool sooner than another Olympic sport, the group is setting the tone for a targeted and intentional construct towards competing on dwelling soil in simply two years.

In the lead-up to this weekend’s choice camp at UCLA, athletes progressed by means of an eight-phase analysis course of to earn eligibility for Olympic Squad consideration. Designed over a number of months by USA Artistic Swimming coaches, high-performance employees, and athlete representatives, the choice system was constructed to comprehensively assess every athlete’s technical potential, endurance, artistry, psychological resilience, and adaptableness beneath stress.

 

Throughout the weekend, athletes have been evaluated throughout eight distinct parts:

• Acrobatics
• Artistry
• Team Technical Group Swim
• Free Routine Choreography
• Free Routine Choreography (Adaptation Round with last-minute modifications)

 

Following detailed scoring and intensive video evaluation of every athlete’s performances, each individually and inside group routines, the choice committee finalized the roster for the 2026–2028 Olympic Training Squad.
