Saher Alghorra, a Palestinian photojournalist, has gained the distinguished Pulitzer Prize for a sequence of pictures printed in The New York Times. What’s the rip-off?

The rip-off is that to this point, not a single Australian mainstream media outlet has reported on it, not to mention dared present the haunting photographs from the Gaza genocide. Instead, the main target has been on the Royal Commission into Antisemitism  and, after all, the excesses of the wealthy and well-known on the Met Gala.

Established in 1917, the Pulitzer Prizes are annual awards given by Columbia University for achievements in “journalism, arts and letters”. It’s the equal of our Walkley Awards (not the Walkey).

Saher Alghorra gained for his “haunting, sensitive series showing the devastation and starvation in Gaza resulting from the war with Israel.” Link to the series here.
