USA Swimming Tabs Lindauer for Pan-Pacific Teaching Workers – Stanford Cardinal

STANFORD, Calif. — Paul A. Violich Director of Women’s Swimming Chris Lindauer will be a part of the teaching employees for the upcoming Pan-Pacific Championships, as introduced Thursday by USA Swimming.

The Pan Pacific Championships introduced by One America Financial are set for August 10-15 in Irvine, Calif., that includes the Open Water 10k competitors on August 10, adopted by 4 days of pool competitors from August 12-15.

Leading the Team USA teaching employees will likely be University of Texas director of swimming & diving Bob Bowman. Joining Bowman will likely be Lindauer, Carol Capitani (Texas), Todd DeSorbo (Virginia), Dave Durden (California), Ray Looze (Indiana), Whitney Hite (Florida), Mohammad Khadembashi (TSM Aquatics), and Stefani Wendelschaefer (NC State).

“We are thrilled to bring this group of talented coaches together to lead our Pan Pacific Championships Team,” USA Swimming National Team Managing Director and former Stanford head coach Greg Meehan mentioned. “They are quality people, teachers, and mentors whose ability to connect with others will strengthen our team’s performance.”

Already boasting an Olympic-level teaching pedigree, Lindauer mentored a pair of gold medalists and 13 Olympic qualifiers, and served on the USA National Team teaching employees from 2018-20 previous to his arrival on The Farm final summer season.

This season, Lindauer led a Stanford program, headlined by three-time Olympic gold medalist Torri Huske and World finalist, Caroline Bricker to a nationwide runner-up end. The NCAA crew silver marked this system’s greatest end in a head coach’s debut season since 1989, when Richard Quick received the nationwide championship in his first yr on The Farm.
