Six Raiders named to 2026 Division II Academic All-District® Girls’s T&F/XC Team

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Six Shippensburg University student-athletes have been chosen to the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-District ® Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Team, an award that acknowledges the nation’s prime student-athletes for his or her mixed efficiency in athletics and teachers.
 
The Raiders who have been acknowledged for the 2025-26 educational yr are senior Emily Calamia, sophomore Shaela Kruskie, junior Ashley Laukus, senior Madison Malcolm, junior Ellie Manyara and senior Ava Whysong.
 
Calamia is now a two-time Academic All-District ® honoree. It is the primary Academic All-District ® honor for Kruskie, Laukus, Malcolm, Manyara and Whysong.
 
To be eligible for Academic All-District ® consideration, student-athletes should be not less than a sophomore academically and athletically and should be enrolled at their establishment on the time of nomination both as undergraduates or graduate college students.
 
Academically, an undergraduate student-athlete should have not less than a 3.50 cumulative grade level common (on a 4.0 scale). A graduate student-athlete should have not less than a 3.50 cumulative grade level common (on a 4.0 scale) as each an undergraduate and a graduate pupil except they’re of their first semester as a graduate pupil and haven’t got a longtime graduate GPA.

Kruskie maintains a 3.74 cumulative GPA by the completion of 64 credit. She is majoring in early childhood schooling. Her regionally-ranked performances have been the indoor mile, indoor 3K, indoor 5K, out of doors 5K and out of doors 10K.
 
Laukus maintains a 3.932 cumulative GPA by the completion of 96 credit. She is majoring in psychology whereas pursuing a minor in incapacity research. Her regionally-ranked performances have been the indoor excessive leap and the out of doors excessive leap.
 
Malcolm graduated summa cum laude this May with a level in prison justice and a minor in psychology, having compiled a 3.954 cumulative GPA. Her regionally-ranked performances have been the indoor 400, indoor 60-meter hurdles, out of doors 100-meter hurdles and out of doors 400-meter hurdles.
 
Manyara maintains an ideal 4.0 cumulative GPA by the completion of 90 credit. She is majoring in psychology and is a member of the Wood Honors College. Her regionally-ranked performances have been the indoor  lengthy leap, indoor triple leap and out of doors triple leap.
 
Whysong graduated this May with a level in arithmetic (statistics focus) and minors in each biology and information science, having compiled a 3.99 cumulative GPA. Her regionally-ranked performances have been the indoor 800 and the out of doors 800.
 
Each student-athlete is now amongst these eligible for consideration for the Academic All-America ® Team that will likely be introduced July 15.
 

The Academic All-District ® Team is chosen by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). CSC honors a most of six males’s and 6 girls’s monitor & subject/cross nation athletes from every college.
