DENVER, N.C. (WBTV) – A swimming advisory was issued on Lake Norman after roughly 2,000 gallons of untreated wastewater spilled right into a cove following current heavy rainfall.

Lincoln County health officials said the spill occurred in a cove alongside Shore Drive in Denver. They issued the advisory at 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3.
