Present And Former Bears Impress At 2026 Toyota National Championships

Erisman, Stadden Combine For 6 1st Place Finishes

IRVINE – Ryan Erisman and Isabelle Stadden had notable performances on the 2026 Toyota National Championships. The two mixed for six first place finishes.

Erisman, a present member of the Cal males’s swimming & diving staff, completed first within the 800m freestyle, 400m IM and 200m freestyle, and positioned second within the 400m freestyle.

“I was pretty happy with it,” said Erisman about his 200m freestyle race. “This morning was a great swim; I was really happy with the drop that I had. I just wanted to go in and have the best race I could.”

Stadden, a 2025 graduate of the Cal ladies’s swimming & diving staff, completed first within the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke occasions. 

“I think it’s going pretty well,” mentioned Stadden when requested about her meet. “I have some goals in mind, but I have to keep remembering that every time is impressive for a 24-year-old.”
