Goldstrong Fest in Pensacola kicks off childhood most cancers consciousness month with household enjoyable

PENSACOLA, Fla.–Families, pals, and youngsters impacted someway by childhood most cancers made their option to Goldstrong Fest on Saturday.

The occasion is strategically scheduled to coincide with the start of childhood most cancers consciousness month.

“We’re here to help our children and their families who are fighting childhood cancer. We’re trying to bring a cure for cancer,” Sansing mentioned.

“This is our third year doing this event, and it just keeps getting bigger and better each year,” Rally child coordinator and program supervisor Haley Scarberry mentioned.

“A lot of people don’t recognize that adults get different types of cancers than children do, but the children are getting the same type of treatment options that adults are,” Scarberry mentioned. “That’s why we exist to fund the research and hopefully find better treatment options for the kids.

“Rally Gulf Coast” is working towards funding a cure.

Ahead of today’s event, sandy sansing donated $100,000 to the ‘Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research.’

“Our most important focus is funding childhood most cancers analysis, and 93 cents of each single greenback that’s raised for the Rally Foundation goes on to help that mission,” Scarberry said.

Attendee Haley Gibson is grateful for the day of entertainment for her kids. Complete with bounce houses, crafts, food trucks, and touch-a-truck opportunities.

Most of all, she is thankful for Rally Gulf Coast.

“Rally is a superb basis. We have cherished being part of them,” Gibson said. “They assist with analysis with childhood most cancers, and we love all the pieces about them.”

According to Rally Gulf Coast, greater than 400,000 kids are recognized with most cancers worldwide annually.

In the U.S., 47 kids per day are recognized with most cancers.
