First Thursdays – Arlington’s 150^th Birthday Bash

Celebrate Arlington’s one hundred and fiftieth anniversary throughout First Thursdays on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 5–8 p.m. in Downtown Arlington. The free celebration will function stay music, family-friendly actions, particular downtown experiences and native companies becoming a member of within the sesquicentennial festivities. Come discover Downtown, benefit from the leisure and have fun 150 years of Arlington!

Summer Music Series

Enjoy stay native music on the Summer Music Series on Friday, Aug. 28 from 6–8 p.m. at Home Plate at Texas Rangers Golf Club. This week’s featured artist, Michael Mangrum, will carry out inside Home Plate whereas visitors get pleasure from meals and beverage specials all through the night.

Sewing Basics: Patchwork Pincushion

Ready to give sewing a try? Learn the fundamentals of utilizing a stitching machine on this beginner-friendly class on Saturday, Sept. 5, from 2–4 p.m. at George W. Hawkes Downtown Library. You’ll make a patchwork pincushion whereas working towards your new abilities, with all supplies offered. The class is open to ages 13+ and restricted to the primary 10 attendees.
