Davis wins swimming nationwide titles

University of North Georgia (UNG) junior Meagan Davis made a serious splash on a nationwide stage in April. Davis, a member of the UNG Swim Club, earned first place in each the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke occasions on the College Club Swimming Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Davis, a Cumming, Georgia, resident, feeds her aggressive drive by swimming.

“My success in the pool comes from the fact that I just enjoy being in the water and working hard for my goals,” she mentioned. “There is nothing more rewarding than hard work paying off.”

She initially thought-about pursuing swimming on scholarship in faculty earlier than she determined to come back to UNG. She knew swimming at that stage would have been all-consuming, however being at UNG provides her the steadiness to pursue levels in each finance and chemistry.

“I want to go into healthcare, and I want to have my own research and development facility,” Davis mentioned.
