Fayetteville Observer wins 8 awards in NC Press Association contest

• The Fayetteville Observer’s information workers received eight awards from the North Carolina Press Association.
• Awards included two first-place wins for basic information pictures and faith and religion reporting.

The Fayetteville Observer’s information workers received eight awards within the 2026 annual North Carolina Press Association awards, together with two first-place wins.

The awards acknowledge the breadth of the Fayetteville Observer’s journalism, from in-depth options to each day information protection and impactful pictures.

The Fayetteville Observer competes in Division E, the most important awards class, which incorporates newspapers with greater than 20,001 subscribers and multi-day publications in cities with populations exceeding 120,000. This 12 months’s awards have been introduced Sept. 10 throughout a ceremony in Cary.
