TOKYO, JAPAN — TERAKAWA Photo Office’s architectural pictures of Nogeyama Zoological Gardens – Nakayoshi Plaza, designed by Koizumi Atelier in Yokohama, Japan, has been revealed by Architecture Lab.

Completed in 2025 for the City of Yokohama, Nakayoshi Plaza brings collectively three public services inside Nogeyama Zoological Gardens: an animal-interaction pavilion, a relaxation pavilion, and a compact service constructing.

Koizumi Atelier offers the three buildings a shared architectural language by gently warped HP-shell roofs fashioned from straight timber members. Their various heights reply to the positioning’s uneven terrain, whereas openings between the roof planes introduce pure gentle and air. Rather than studying as remoted buildings, the services type a linked sequence of structure, panorama, circulation, and public house inside the wooded setting of Nogeyama.
