Phoenix Public Library’s ‘Meals for Fines’ to profit Valley meals banks

PHOENIX – To rejoice Nationwide Library Week in April, the Phoenix Public Library is teaming up with St. Mary’s Meals Financial institution for the “Meals for Fines” fundraiser.

The fundraiser will happen April 6-20, and every canned merchandise will erase $1 off library fines.

The non-perishable gadgets could be donated at any of the 17 Phoenix Public Library places.

Based on a press launch, as much as $75 could be taken off fines with donated meals.

The meals will profit St. Mary’s Meals Financial institution and Desert Mission Meals Financial institution.

The meals banks are asking for 12-ounce containers or bigger of peanut butter, canned rooster, canned meals, canned fruit and canned greens.

This annual fundraiser collects over 20,000 kilos of meals that assist inventory the meals banks over the summer time months, in keeping with the discharge.
