Unveiled Friday, a brand new splash pad joins the park’s present facilities, which embody an accessible playground, a soccer area, a toboggan hill, trails, and a bocce courtroom.

The splash pad — a $420,000 capital mission and the tenth public splash pad operated by the town — options an array of sprinklers, a playground, and benches.

Fontainebleau Park has a big outdoor-themed accessible playground, a soccer area, a toboggan hill, lit trails, bocce courtroom and a public library.

“We are always looking for ways to re-activate existing spaces, and this instalment is just the latest of our local parks improvements that will be completed this summer,” Mayor Drew Dilkens mentioned in a press release. “City council has invested $26 million in parks and recreation throughout the city to provide residents with the quality outdoor facilities they deserve.

“We’re building playgrounds and carving new trails to deliver results that will continue to help build our city up.”

The metropolis’s splash pads are open from 8 a.m. to eight p.m. seven days per week, climate allowing, from Victoria Day in May till Thanksgiving in October.
