Current, Future Wolverines Set for World U20 Championships

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Five current or incoming members of the University of Michigan track and field program will be among the sport’s rising stars competing at the World Athletics U20 Championships this Monday through Saturday (August 1-6) in Cali, Colombia.

Rising sophomores Miles Brown (United States) and Savannah Sutherland (Canada) will be joined inside the confines of Pascual Guerrero Olympic Stadium by future Wolverines Cade Moran (United States), Yemi Mary John (Great Britain) and Riley Flemington (Canada).

Similar to the World Athletics Championships that concluded this past weekend in Eugene, Ore., and featured a trio of top-five finishes from Joshua Zeller, Dubem Amene and Cindy (Ofili) Sember, the World U20 Championships bring together the world’s best talent in each event.

The U20 Championships are reserved only for those who are 19 years of age or younger during the calendar year in which the championships are contested.

Savannah Sutherland (Canada) | Women’s 400-Meter Hurdles
