AUBURN, Ala. – After the second round of the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tenn. on Saturday, Auburn moved up to fourth place with a 54-hole team score of 558 (+2). Auburn senior Megan Schofill remains in a tie for first place individually through two rounds at 7-under overall after firing a 69 (-3) today.

“Megan [Schofill] played another solid round of golf with no bogeys,” Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said after the second round. “The team got started pretty hot and then fizzled out at the end which was disappointing. A couple of course management errors cost us too many shots today. That’s something we definitely have control over and will clean up tomorrow.”

Similar to her opening round 68 (-4) on Friday, Schofill went bogey-free on Saturday. Schofill birdied both par fives on the front nine as well as the par four 17th hole en route to her 3-under performance. The Auburn senior is currently tied for the lead with host school Vanderbilt’s Tillie Claggett.

Junior Anna Foster bounced back by firing a 1-under 71 on Saturday in a round that featured four birdies on the card. Freshman Rachel Gourley’s second round was off to a hot start as she holed out for eagle on the first hole. Gourley ultimately posted a 73 (+1) which contributed to Saturday’s team score. Junior Elina Sinz birded four holes in her second round and fired a 2-over 74.

Auburn will be paired with players from LSU and Chattanooga and will begin teeing off of the first hole at 8:50 a.m. CT. Live scoring of the event is available here and on the GolfStat mobile app.
