BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – When it comes to weekend plans – local car lovers have hit the jackpot.

Saturday,  you can head to Woodburn to check out Antique Tractor & Engine Club’s car show. You’ll get to glimpse some newer model tractors, but the biggest draw by far will be the show’s tractors dating back to the great depression days.

If you find yourself further east tomorrow, Glasgow’s ‘Cruise into Fall Car Show’ starts bright and early. The free fun will feature Classic Cars, Trucks, Street Rods, Restored, Imports, Custom, Antique Tractors & Antique Motorcycles.

And a little further north, pop into Brownsville for Edmonson County’s 8th Annual Cruisin’ For the Wall Show. Some of the proceeds from the car show and their Arts & Crafts Vendor Fair will help upkeep the Veterans Memorial Wall and Courtyard.

Edmonson County Tourism Director Vanessa Ulm said the event is, “You can see [the veterans as] they stand in front of the wall. Everyone’s looking at the names. They go inside of the courthouse and look at the Hall of Honor and you just see that passion in them. So this is a big deal for them, because they know that it honors not only them as veterans, but also could honor someone in their family.”

And speaking of cars, the National Corvette Museum is hosting Bowling GreenCon. Some of the Pop Culture events include cosplay contests, gaming rooms, and a Sailor Moon Live Concert tomorrow night.

Also here in BG, you can stop by WKU’s Hammer In metal working demonstration. And until Halloween, trek Lost River Cave’s Scarecrow Trail.

If you’re around town come Sunday, you can take part in Bowling Green’s 10th Annual Out of the Darkness Community Walk. Almost 200 people have registered to walk at Ephram White Park to stand up to suicide.
