The Boston University field hockey will honor its senior class and put its undefeated Patriot League record on the line when it hosts Colgate on Saturday (Oct. 8). Game time at Harvard’s Berylson Family Field is set for 1 p.m.

It will be a two-game weekend for the Terriers as they will visit crosstown rival Northeastern on Sunday (Oct. 9) at 1 p.m. in Dedham. 

TERRIER TIDBITS

  • BU is coming off a 2-1 win at then-No. 25 American on Saturday
  • Senior Caroline Kelly was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday after recording eight saves in the win over the Eagles.
  • Freshman Amalia Preece broke a 1-1 tie and collected her second PL Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
  • Senior Mikayla Crowley assisted on both goals and got things started by setting up junior Tess Csejka for her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
  • Graduate student Casey Thompson has a team-best five assists.
  • BU has had the same exact starting lineup in all 11 games thus far this season.
  • Kelly has started every game and she played the full 60 for the past three and currently sports a .768 save percentage, which ranks 17th nationally.

SCOUTING COLGATE

  • Junior Mak Graves leads the Huskies in both points (14) and goals (6) while freshman Emmy Stubbs has posted 11 points on the strength of five tallies.
  • Freshman Emilia Adragna has a team-high 36 shots and has recorded 10 points on four goals and two helpers.
  • In goal, graduate student Jonna Kennedy has gotten in all 10 contests and currently sports a 2.87 goals-against average and a .696 save percentage.

BU-NU SERIES HISTORY

  • This is one of the most competitive rivalries in college field hockey as the Huskies hold a 28-25 advantage in 53 all-time meetings
  • BU had a five-game win streak in the series snapped last year in a 2-1 loss in Dedham.
