The Huskies out shot the Musketeers 10-8 in the second half and had a few moments in the half that nearly tied the match.

Early on in the half, Jackie Harnett played a ball into the box that eventually found its way into the back of the net. However, the Huskies were whistled for a foul on the Musketeer’s keeper that wiped the equalizer off the board.

Sophomore Sophie McCarthy led the Huskies with three shots including a pair of chances that were saved by the Musketeer’s goalie.

Freshman Chioma Okafor created a pair of opportunities by speeding past a pair of defenders and getting a shot off towards goal. Okafor also used her speed to weave away from traffic and slide a pass to leading scorer Jada Konte. Konte got one touch on it but the keeper was there to knock the ball way with 4:06 remaining in regulation.
