BETHLEHEM, PA. – The Bears concluded the 2024 segment of their schedule yesterday at the Sheridan Tournament, which was hosted by Lehigh.

Numerous athletes had commendable performances at the event, including Connor O’Donnell (174), who secured a second-place finish in his pool. O’Donnell achieved back-to-back victories to clinch a spot in the finals, overcoming Dominic Wheatley (Franklin & Marshall) and Nick Alvarez (Franklin & Marshall).

Ethan Mojena (149) attained a third-place finish in his weight category, registering four successive wins in the consolation bracket against Michael Cetta (Rutgers), Josh Hillard (Franklin & Marshall), Matt Repos (Lehigh), and Jack Myers (Virginia).

Andrew Reall (184) also demonstrated a remarkable performance, ending in fourth place in his pool with victories over Justin Phillips (Virginia) and his Brown teammate, Nick Olivieri.

“The Sheridan Tournament served as an excellent conclusion to our first semester of competitions. It provided our athletes with another chance to challenge themselves and for us as coaches to assess who our top performers are. Our second semester will be more intensive and focused on team efforts. We are eager to see how fifteen of our standout wrestlers perform at the Southern Scuffle on January 4 and 5,” stated Head Coach Jordan Leen following the tournament.
