Experience swimming at the YMCA! This occasion aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for children with various needs to enjoy and learn in the pool. Families will choose one date to participate, and parents will need to fill out an adaptive swim questionnaire to assist our lifeguards in understanding each child’s capabilities and requirements.

Parents are required to remain in the pool vicinity throughout the session. While being in the water is not necessary unless your child requires individual support, your presence guarantees a safe and encouraging atmosphere.

We invite families to share any information that will help us best assist your child. For instance:

• Does your child require goggles or earplugs?
• Are they beginners or already proficient in the pool?
• Do they need medication nearby? (The YMCA can securely store it.)
• Is your child apprehensive about the water? We have methods to help them feel at ease.

If further assistance is necessary, we advise families to consult their providers for support.

Important: Parents must supply swimsuits and towels. The YMCA will provide life jackets for those who require them.
