The Grand Canyon swimming squad is prepared for a dual meet against the Arizona State Sun Devils.
The Lopes are returning from a holiday break, nearly a month since they excelled in the home competition against Ottawa and Arizona Christian.
GCU has encountered ASU only three times ahead of Saturday morning’s contest. The Lopes last competed against the Sun Devils during the first Division I Arizona quad meet featuring Arizona, Northern Arizona, and the host Arizona State on October 12, where the Sun Devils claimed victory in both the men’s and women’s events.
The Lopes aim to build upon a robust beginning to the season as they shift their focus toward the WAC Championships at the end of February. Earlier this season, the men’s team secured first place in the Purdue midseason invitational, establishing a solid precedent.
