Meghan Markle Sparks Debate with New Netflix Lifestyle Series Announcement

Fans have begun to express their thoughts on Meghan Markle’s latest series on Netflix following its announcement on Thursday (January 2).

The Duchess of Sussex disclosed via an Instagram update that she would be collaborating with the streaming service once more for a reality program entitled With Love, Meghan.

“I have been incredibly eager to share this with you! I hope you enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed creating it. Wishing you all an amazing new year! Special thanks to our incredible crew and the team @netflix. Forever grateful for the support — and the fun! As always, Meghan,” she captioned her post regarding the series, which showcased its trailer and will be available for viewing on January 15.

“We’re not searching for perfection, we’re seeking joy,” Meghan narrates in the trailer’s voiceover. “Love is found in the details.”

Netflix characterized the program, which will be produced by Meghan, as “a lifestyle programming genre, blending practical how-to’s and honest conversation with friends, both new and old.”

“Meghan offers personal insights and strategies, prioritizing playfulness over perfection, and illustrates how simple it can be to cultivate beauty, even in unexpected situations. She and her guests engage in activities in the kitchen, garden, and elsewhere, and encourage you to join in.”

The series will feature eight episodes, each lasting 33 minutes, with special guest appearances from a few of Meghan’s friends, including Mindy Kaling and a former co-star from Suits, Abigail Spencer.

Shortly after the revelation, numerous admirers of the royal family member took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their opinions about the series and their anticipation of watching it.

“I WILL BE SEAAAATEEDDDDD!!!!!!!! UGHHHH TEARS IN MY EYES I LOVE HER!!!!!” one comment expressed in support of the upcoming show.

Another comment concurred, stating, “I adore her mushroom coffee and generally enjoy watching content featuring beautiful people, so I will be seated.”

Nonetheless, not everyone favored the launch of the series with some individuals on social media asserting that the reality program contradicts previous statements she has made about desiring to maintain her privacy.

“I simply don’t understand Meghan Markle, honestly. She’s always saying, ‘Oh no, the paparazzi are awful, they completely invade my privacy,’ but then she goes and makes a reality series about her family and friends. What’s going on with that?” one individual on X questioned.

“No one desires to watch an hour-long Instagram Trad Wife Clip featuring Meghan Markle,” another comment stated.

The announcement of With Love, Meghan comes just one day after Meghan officially returned to Instagram on New Year’s Day (Wednesday, January 1).

Her post contained a video captured by her husband Prince Harry on a beach near their residence in Montecito, California.

The return seemed to signal the beginning of fresh starts for the year as the footage depicted her running barefoot towards the waves with her back facing the camera. She pauses to draw “2025” in the sand before laughing and jogging away clad in an all-white ensemble.

Although Meghan had disabled comments on her Instagram post, many prominent individuals expressed their support by liking the post, including Serena Williams and Chrissy Teigen.
