ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has today unveiled a duo of 27-inch OLED gaming monitors—the Swift OLED PG27UCDM and Strix OLED XG27AQDPG. Both displays utilize the latest fourth-generation ROG QD-OLED technology, offering remarkable visuals and limitless contrast, along with the newest ROG OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0 technology to further reduce onscreen flicker during high-octane gaming sessions.

The PG27UCDM is heralded as the world’s first 27-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor boasting an ultra-fast 240 Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of 160ppi, providing sharper images and clearer text compared to earlier generation displays. It is compatible with Dolby Vision and HDR10 formats, selectable through the OSD menu. The monitor encompasses a wide range of connectivity including DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20, HDMI 2.1, a USB-C port with 90-watt Power Delivery, and a USB hub. For user ease, the ROG DisplayWidget Center grants quick access to monitor configurations as well as OLED Care Pro functionalities.

The ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM provides a robust array of connectivity options including four-lane DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 with a bandwidth of up to 80 Gbps (uncompressed image quality), HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 90-watt Power Delivery. The monitor supports VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black, Dolby Vision, and HDR10, with these modes selectable via the OSD menu. This striking display sports a 27-inch 1440p QD-OLED panel that produces an astonishing 500 Hz refresh rate, a 0.03 ms response time, 10-bit color accuracy, and a 99% DCI-P3 color gamut, yielding ultra-fluid and remarkably lifelike gaming experiences. The XG27AQDPG is equipped with the latest OLED Care Pro technology designed to safeguard the panel against burn-in, alongside Dynamic Brightness Boost which elevates brightness levels during HDR mode for high-luminance visuals. Additionally, the monitor features extensive connectivity options, including DisplayPort 1.4 with Display Stream Compression (DSC) and HDMI 2.1. The DisplayWidget Center software enables users to seamlessly modify monitor settings and functionalities of OLED Care Pro using a mouse.

ROG OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0 technology

Both the PG27UCDM and XG27AQDPG incorporate ROG OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0 technology to minimize onscreen flicker for a more comfortable gaming and viewing experience. It employs an advanced luminance compensation algorithm to dynamically enhance pixel brightness during variations in refresh rates, resulting in 20% less flicker compared to older generation panels, providing more uniform visuals without compromising input lag and refresh rates. The Refresh Rate Cap feature limits the monitor’s refresh rate to further decrease onscreen flicker, offering three preset ranges (High / Mid / Off) to cater to personal preferences.
