FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men’s basketball squad established a 12-point advantage over Omaha with 12 minutes left in the game; however, the Mavericks surged back for an 85-80 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Scheels Center.
 
NDSU held a 59-47 lead with 12 minutes to go, but Omaha outscored the Bison with a 38-21 run to finish the contest. The Mavericks recorded 9-of-13 from three-point territory (69 percent) in the second half.
 
While NDSU was ahead 66-62, Omaha hit three-pointers on three consecutive possessions to lead 71-66 with five minutes remaining.
