Warning Level

The highest tier of local travel advisory indicates that travel may be limited to emergency management personnel only. During a “warning” local travel advisory, individuals are urged to:

• Avoid all travel;
• Follow essential emergency protocols;
• Assist public officials and disaster service teams in implementing emergency operational plans; and
• Adhere to the lawful orders of properly identified authorities.

Watch Level

This level signifies that conditions are perilous to public safety. During a “watch” local travel advisory, only essential travel, such as to and from employment or during emergencies, is recommended, and emergency response plans should be activated by businesses, educational institutions, government bodies, and other organizations.
