Meghan Markle’s Netflix Series Poised to Redefine Lifestyle Stardom

“Everyone’s invited” signals Netflix’s teaser for Meghan Markle’s upcoming lifestyle program, With Love, Meghan, which is scheduled to premiere on the streaming platform on January 15. Within it, The Duchess of Sussex leads a group of celebrities (including actress and comedian Mindy Kaling, Tatcha creator Vicky Tsai, and her long-time makeup artist, Daniel Martin) across eight episodes that highlight the wonder of everyday experiences as they create, prepare meals, and garden together. “It’s about connecting with companions, forging new friendships, and simply learning,” Meghan expresses in the voiceover of the trailer.  

Meghan announced on Instagram about the series, swiftly accumulating over a million followers. “I have been so thrilled to share this with you! I hope you enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed producing it,” she writes. 

The teaser reveals Meghan and her team preparing everything from delectable desserts (like a layered sponge cake and iced donuts adorned with fresh flowers) to fully roasted fish while donning protective gear for beekeeping. “We’re not striving for perfection,” she reassures, “we’re pursuing joy.”

The theme of the show appears quite wholesome, tapping into both the perennially popular lifestyle category that elevated personalities like Martha Stewart to household status, as well as the current trend of ‘romanticizing the ordinary’, but that does not imply it has not been met with some skepticism. The Guardian’s Madeleine Aggeler notes, for instance, that the production isn’t filmed at Meghan and Harry’s own residence as one might expect, but at a $8 million Montecito farmhouse located several miles away.

No matter your stance on The Duchess, the series is bound to draw in a dedicated audience, eager to analyze and emulate her impeccable attire, and find inspiration in everyday tasks like preparing a wholesome meal, hosting gatherings, and exploring the outdoors.
