Bulldog Boys Swim to Victory, While Girls Make Waves with 4th Place Finish at Invite

The Centerville swimming squads delivered an impressive performance on Saturday, December 28, at the Mooresville Invitational. The Centerville boys secured first place while the Lady Bulldogs achieved fourth place in the girls’ category.

Centerville boys results:

• Devon Whaley: champion in 200 freestyle and in 100 butterfly
• Eli West: champion in diving and third in 100 freestyle
• Jayden Cornett, Sean Whaley, West, and Jack Sewell: champions in 200 freestyle relay
• Eli Brummett: runner-up in 100 freestyle and third in 50 freestyle
• Chase Roland: runner-up in 100 backstroke and third in 200 IM
• Thatcher Anderson-Thompson: runner-up in 100 breaststroke and fourth in 200 IM
• Sewell: runner-up in 50 freestyle and fifth in 500 freestyle
• Cornett: sixth in 50 freestyle and seventh in 100 backstroke
