Dunes serve as delicate wildlife habitats and protective barriers for shorelines and coastal areas, and any human interference can harm the sensitive ecosystems that keep them consistent and healthy. Sledding and Snowboarding

Brandywine Creek State Park

Sledding at Brandywine Creek State Park is a Delaware tradition. This 200-yard long slope is scenic, providing a delightful, extended ride. Follow the directions for the Hawk Watch area upon entering the park’s main entrance at 41 Adams Dam Road, Wilmington. Warm up at the Park Office & Nature Center afterwards and discover unique exhibits.

White Clay Creek State Park

Famed for mountain biking, White Clay Creek also offers excellent sledding. Several hills are ideal for sledding within the park, but we favor the Carpenter Recreation Area at 880 New London Road, Newark.

Wilmington State Parks – Rockford Park

A Wilmington favorite! Enjoy the slope at Rockford Tower for a lengthy ride and iconic views from Lookout Drive, Wilmington.
