The Utility Worker is tasked with upholding clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen, including all china, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and equipment.

Job Overview

• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitary state of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen in alignment with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
• Safely and effectively operate the dishwashing machine following the manual’s procedures.
• Confirm the appropriate soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing.
• Withdraw from service any damaged or broken dishes, utensils, and glassware.
• Stock delivered food and non-food products.
• Clear and empty garbage bins and dismantle boxes.
• Conduct deep cleaning of the kitchen and equipment.
• Participate in all training and in-service workshops.
• Maintain a tidy and hygienic work atmosphere.
• Execute all responsibilities in compliance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
• Aim to maintain a safe workplace by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and promoting safe work practices.
• Exhibit a positive and professional attitude towards all residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old or possess a worker’s permit.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred.
• Must successfully pass a state and federal background check as well as a drug screening.
