TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 22/25 Florida State swimming and diving squad is set to host Villanova at the Morcom Aquatics Center on Wednesday, January 8, at 2 p.m. ET.
 
Entry will be complimentary for all spectators on Wednesday. This dual meet marks FSU’s initial competition of the 2025 calendar year and one of their final events in Tallahassee this season.

Villanova travels to Tallahassee boasting a 4-1 record for the men and 3-1 for the women. At the WVU Invitational in November, the Wildcat women’s team secured second place overall, outpacing Navy, West Virginia, and Old Dominion, while the men achieved third place, surpassing Old Dominion and William & Mary.
 
FSU concluded its 2024 season as a team at the Georgia Tech Invite from November 22-24. The men finished second in the final rankings, ahead of two top-20 competitors, and the women placed third overall. The Seminoles tallied 11 individual victories and 34 top-three finishes while setting six school records and accomplishing five NCAA A qualifying times. In December, select Seminoles participated in various events worldwide. Several national records were established by FSU swimmers at the World Aquatics Swimming Championships from December 10-14, with divers also competing at the USA Diving Winter Nationals from December 13-15. The Seminoles commenced a week-long training session in South Florida at the CSCAA College National Open Water Championships in Miami on December 15. The year wrapped up with the divers at the Auburn Diving Invite from December 18-21, with two wins marking the highlight of the four-day competition (Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4).
 
The Seminoles’ meet that was intended for January 17 at SMU has been called off. Florida State will resume competition on Friday, January 24 at 2 p.m. when they welcome the University of Tampa to the Morcom Aquatics Center.
