DeKALB, Ill. – Six student-athletes from the 2024 Northern Illinois University football squad have been recognized in the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Football Team revealed Tuesday (Jan. 7).
 
NIU’s eight CSC Academic All-District honorees comprise three of the Huskies’ five starting offensive linemen for 2024, spearheaded by first team All Mid-American Conference guard J.J. Lippe. The Huskies finished second in the MAC in total offense and rushing offense for 2024 and topped the league in the fewest sacks permitted. Joining him on the CSC Academic All-District roster are senior Evan Buss and redshirt sophomore Evan Malcore, with Malcore achieving the highest GPA among NIU’s eight All-District selections at 3.902 in accountancy.
 
Alongside the three offensive linemen, senior fullback Brock Lampe, kicker Kanon Woodill, and wide receiver/punt returner Dane Pardridge earned Academic All-District honors. Lampe received his third Academic All-District accolade, while Lippe, Buss, and Woodill were honored for the second time, with Pardridge and Malcore being first-time recipients.
 
Due to his academic and athletic accomplishments, Lippe will move on to the national ballot for CSC Academic All-America honors.
 
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District consideration, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in both academics and athletics and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.50 (undergraduate and graduate). Nominees must have participated in 90 percent of the team’s contests or started at least two-thirds of the games.
