RAEFORD — Entering the pool for the first time in the new year, the swimming teams for Richmond Senior High School, both boys and girls, resumed competitive activities on Wednesday.

The Raiders and Lady Raiders took part in their fourth meet of the Sandhills Athletic Conference for the season.

This event was hosted at the Leach Aquatic Center, having been relocated from its initially scheduled site at St. Andrews University due to pool conditions.

For the first time this season, the Raiders crossed the centennial mark by scoring 100 points, which secured them a third-place finish out of six competing teams.

The Lady Raiders concluded the meet in fifth position among seven teams, accumulating 46 points.

The Richmond Observer plans to release detailed articles later this week for both swimming teams.
