VENICE, Fla. (WWSB) – The Venice Police Department, along with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, apprehended two individuals linked to an armed home burglary that took place on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Lorenzo Aristides Gonzalez, 23, from Spring Hill, and Camron J. Knipfer, 21, from Venice, are facing several charges, including Armed Burglary of a Residence, Grand Theft, and Possession of Cannabis below 20 grams.

The event commenced when law enforcement responded to a burglary call at a residential property. The suspects had illegally entered the dwelling and appropriated various items, comprising three firearms, a gaming console, and a vehicle.

Later that same evening, authorities arrested Gonzalez and Knipfer.

A search warrant was carried out at a residence in unincorporated Sarasota County, resulting in the recovery of the plundered items, including all three firearms, the gaming console, and the vehicle that had been stolen.

Both suspects were taken into custody without any complications and are currently held at the Sarasota County Jail.
