Overview:

Conducts research, conceptualizes, and captures images of portraits, architecture, and campus activities for departmental publications in both print and digital formats. Oversees the photography for a variety of institutional and presidential requests and acts as the university representative for external photography engagements.

1. Directs the photographic aspect of all publications, advertising, and university materials from inception to finalization.
2. Collaborates closely with the art director and graphic designers to translate marketing goals into innovative outputs.
3. Ensures university advertising complies with photographic branding and standards.
4. Advises clients to determine specific project requirements; collaborates with designers and clients to capture images that align with project objectives.
5. Functions as the photography liaison with outside organizations as necessary.
6. Provides recommendations for optimal strategies regarding photographic tasks.
7. Supplies video, audio, and high-resolution still photography in both studio and on-location settings.
8. Edits and formats multimedia visuals utilizing advanced equipment and software.
9. Offers support and training on photographic and multimedia apparatus and relevant software to interns and staff as required.
10. Investigates, suggests, and adopts new technologies for media and publications.
11. Maintains media equipment, facilities, supplies, and archives.
12. Executes other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

MQ: Requires a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical components of an analytical, technical, or professional field; or foundational knowledge across multiple professional disciplines. Proficiency in the discipline is typically gained through a formal, directly job-related four-year degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program relevant to the work performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly related professional experience.
