“Daily Show Mocks Obama’s Laughs with ‘Future Hitler’ Trump at Carter’s Farewell”

“The Daily Show” ridiculed former President Obama and President-elect Donald Trump’s amicable exchanges Thursday at former President Jimmy Carter’s state funeral, considering the heated language used about Trump by Obama and other political opponents.

“It’s a seating arrangement so awkward, it probably had them wondering, ‘Is there any extra space in that coffin?’ she remarked about Trump, Obama, and other former presidents being seated near one another during the state funeral for President Jimmy Carter in Washington, D.C.

Highlighting the viral moment where Trump and Obama conversed extensively and even seemed to be laughing, she stated in a clip noted by Mediaite, “It’s a bit odd for Obama though, right? To shift from ‘this guy is future Hitler’ to ‘oh, man, cool story, future Hitler!'”

“It felt rather uncomfortable that they all had to be seated next to Donald Trump,” Lydic commented. “Just ponder the history there.” 

The apparently friendly exchanges between Trump and Obama went viral after the two were placed beside each other during the state funeral.

At one moment, Vice President Kamala Harris turned around and noticed the two conversing amicably, before looking back to the front, her expression unyielding.

“I don’t know if that funeral music was for Carter or for her. Kamala made the look that I do when someone behind me in the cinema is chatting,” she remarked.

“She did not appear pleased to be seated that closely to Donald Trump,” the comedian noted. “She practically spent the remainder of the day browsing through that funeral program as if she expected to uncover 44 electoral votes in it.”

Trump and Obama were encircled by other significant figures, including former President George W. Bush, former Vice President Mike Pence, former President Bill Clinton, former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, along with President Biden and Harris.

Obama campaigned vigorously against Trump, branding him a danger to U.S. democracy and a manifestation of “our worst impulses unleashed,” among various other criticisms.
