KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The City of Fountains has been recognized as the fourth best U.S. travel destination in Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best for 2025 rankings.

Visit KC revealed on Friday, Jan. 10, that Kansas City has been included in Tripadvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards Best of the Best for 2025. The metropolitan area claimed the No. 4 spot among the top trending destinations in the United States.

The association highlighted that this represents the pinnacle of Tripadvisor’s accolades as the Best of the Best recipients are among the leading 1% of listings globally.

“As the primary sales and marketing entity for the region, we at Visit KC are not astonished to see Kansas City at the forefront of this ranking. Our city has evolved into a premier travel destination that attracts all types of travelers,” stated Brett Oetting, the chief operating officer of Visit KC.

As enthusiasm for the city escalates, organizational leaders emphasized that Kansas City continues to attract record numbers of visitors each year. Tourism plays a crucial role in supporting the local community, generating millions in tax revenue for essential government services such as transportation, education, and more.
